The Internet, how far we have come with the technology as it has become a major part of our lives. Communication with friends and family from all over the world, shopping for clothes and groceries, downloading multimedia files and the convenience of paying online bills.

In the past, surfing the World Wide Web was considered safe. But now, because of damaging viruses and malicious software, such as spyware or adware circulating through various Websites, every user must take precaution when surfing the Internet.

Your home computer is where you store the majority of your important files and if infected with spyware, your privacy will be invaded. Can you imagine someone walking around your house and observing how you live your life daily and taking a look at your personal and private information without you knowing? The Internet is no longer a safe place and with many predators stealing identities and personal identification, the thought that someone can be accessing it just makes you want to cringe.

Since the Internet is used a lot in our business transactions, applications for credit cards and online banking, with threats such as spyware and adware running rampant throughout the Internet, you have to realize that these malicious software can record everything you do and everything you type.

That is right. Spyware can effectively record everything you press on your keyboard, this includes names and passwords. With all the accumulated information, the spyware will automatically e-mail without your knowledge, personal data and information to the person who created the malicious software. Even if you wanted to use a long password, a numeric password or a password that you feel would be unbreakable, if the spyware is installed on your computer, those passwords are literally ineffective because the data you typed on your keyboard is recorded and that data has been obtained by the spyware creator.

Adware is another offending software program. Have you ever been on a site and you kept getting pop-up banner advertisements that seem to not want to disappear? No matter how many times you close it and no matter how often you close and open your browser, the adware will still be able to continue opening pop-up advertisements which can lead to utter frustration.

And another frustration is that both adware and spyware can really reduce the performance of your computer. If you had a computer that ran quickly but now all of a sudden has become so sluggish that you literally have to wait even longer to access it, there is a big chance that you have adware and spyware on your computer. And remember, because these software are not viruses, anti-virus software will not detect these malicious files.

Fortunately, there is a software that has been proven to eliminate the annoying adware and spyware and that is the NoAdware Spyware Remover Software. Not only has it received a high satisfaction rating from hundreds of users but I found the software to completely remove all adware and spyware from my system.

One of the coolest functions aside from detecting and removing spyware and adware from your personal computer but it also prevents any of that malicious software from entering your computer again. So, the next time you experience those extremely frustrating pop-up advertising banners, know of others who also experience a sluggish performance on their computer, chances are it’s the adware and spyware that has been lingering in their operating system.

Again, if you or someone you know has this problem and needs to eliminate the adware and spyware on their system, NoAdware Spyware Remover not only is used by hundreds of people but it has a high satisfaction rating. In this day and age, you need to protect yourself from these invaders and with identity theft increasing, what better than to protect yourself now and surf the internet without having any worries of adware or spyware entering your system again.

Adware Removal for Free

Although you see many banners and ads for “free adware programs,” many of these products are not truthfully free. Some may offer a free trial of their product so you can test it out for a few days before purchasing it. The problem with this is you do not get to use it long enough to really decide if it will work for you in the long term. Other companies allow you to download a limited demo version of their product so you can see how it works. Here again, you really don’t have the freedom to try it out as much as you need to to make an informed decision.

This is not to say that this is case with all free adware promotions. There are many that are completely free. So, what’s the catch, right? Many of the totally free adware removal programs are very basic and somewhat limited in their performance. Yes, they may get the job done, but there’s no guarantee that they will be able to remove every single bit of spyware from your PC. If you are choosing to go with a free adware cleaning software, you should really do you research before downloading anything. Sometimes, these “free” products themselves carry spyware, which totally defeats the purpose of using it to clean your computer.

The biggest reason you should take the time to research any free adware removal product before you download it is because some of them are just downright fake. Some businesses thrive off the annoying pop-ups that adware presents to the computer’s users, so they market free adware removing software, pretending to be the good guys. This is unethical because, in reality, they aren’t really removing the spyware…if anything, they are adding more!

Fortunately, there are some good, reliable adware programs available for free online. Websites such as SupportCave.com offer reviews and information on a few of the products that will actually get the job done. As with anything you download, you just need to be careful. If something looks shady or “too good to be true,” it probably is!

If you are still hesitant about trying any free adware programs, there is another way to getting the harmful data off your computer. You can manually delete the adware if you choose. Most of the adware can be uninstalled from the “Add/Remove Programs” section in the Control Panel. You can also get an antivirus program (if you don’t already have one, it is highly recommended that you get one as soon as possible to protect your PC) that scans your entire computer for any evidence of potentially damaging files and folders. This may be the safest route if you do not wish to take the time to investigate the free adware removal programs available.

It is essential that you clear your computer of spyware regularly, before something irreversible happens. Adware can cause system freezing, crashing, and automatic shut downs, all of what could cause loss of data and damage to your computer. While it is important to get rid of the unwanted spyware before it causes a problem, you should be careful with how you go about removing it. Play it safe, do your research, and you should be able to keep a clean, optimal performing computer!

How To Remove Spyware?

How to remove spyware?

There are a couple things you can do to prevent spyware from infecting your computer system. First, invest in a reliable commercial anti-spyware program. There are several currently on the market including stand alone software packages such as Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware or Windows Antispyware. Other options provide the anti-spyware software as part of an anti-virus package. This type of option is offered by companies such as Sophos, Symantec, and McAfee. Anti-spyware programs can combat spyware by providing real-time protection, scanning, and removal of any found spyware software. As with most programs, update your anti virus software frequently.

As discussed, the Internet Explorer (IE) is often a contributor to the spyware problem because spyware programs like to attach themselves to its functionality. Spyware enjoys penetrating the IE’s weaknesses. Because of this, many users have switched to non-IE browsers. However, if you prefer to stick with Internet Explorer, be sure to update the security patches regularly, and only download programs from reputable sources. This will help reduce your chances of a spyware infiltration.

What can spyware programs do?

Spyware programs can accomplish a multitude of malicious tasks. Some of their deeds are simply annoying for the user; others can become downright aggressive in nature.

Spyware can:
1. Monitor your keystrokes for reporting purposes.
2. Scan files located on your hard drive.
3. Snoop through applications on our desktop.
4. Install other spyware programs into your computer.
5. Read your cookies.
6. Steal credit card numbers, passwords, and other personal information.
7. Change the default settings on your home page web browser.
8. Mutate into a second generation of spyware thus making it more difficult to eradicate.
9. Cause your computer to run slower.
10. Deliver annoying pop up advertisements.
11. Add advertising links to web pages for which the author does not get paid. Instead, payment is directed to the spyware programmer that changed the original affiliate’s settings.
12. Provide the user with no uninstall option and places itself in unexpected or hidden places within your computer making it difficult to remove.

What Is The Difference Between Malware And Spyware?

What Is The Difference Between Malware And Spyware? In One simple word: Nothing

Typically, spyware originates in three ways. The first and most common way is when the user installs it. In this scenario, spyware is embedded, attached, or bundled with a freeware or shareware program without the user’s knowledge. The user downloads the program to their computer. Once downloaded, the spyware program goes to work collecting data for the spyware author’s personal use or to sell to a third-party. Beware of many P2P file-sharing programs. They are notorious for downloads that posses spyware programs.

The user of a downloadable program should pay extra attention to the accompanying licensing agreement. Often the software publisher will warn the user that a spyware program will be installed along with the requested program. Unfortunately, we do not always take the time to read the fine print. Some agreements may provide special “opt-out” boxes that the user can click to stop the spyware from being included in the download. Be sure to review the document before signing off on the download.

Another way that spyware can access your computer is by tricking you into manipulating the security features designed to prevent any unwanted installations. The Internet Explorer Web browser was designed not to allow websites to start any unwanted downloads. That is why the user has to initiate a download by clicking on a link. These links can prove deceptive. For example, a pop-up modeled after a standard Windows dialog box, may appear on your screen. The message may ask you if you would like to optimize your internet access. It provides yes or no answer buttons, but, no matter which button you push, a download containing the spyware program will commence. Newer versions of Internet Explorer are now making this spyware pathway a little more difficult.

Finally, some spyware applications infect a system by attacking security holes in the Web browser or other software. When the user navigates a web page controlled by a spyware author, the page contains code designed to attack the browser, and force the installation of the spyware program.
