Are Your Network Marketing Techniques Still Working?
If you want to make it in Network Marketing don’t do what your up line is suggesting. The techniques that they tell you to use like hotel meetings, fliers, the three foot rule, and nagging your friends and family. They did not create a huge organization by putting up fliers. How mortifying to sneak up on an empty car with your little flier only to realize as you lift the wiper that there is a couple sitting there. I can’t tell you who created that strategy.
In the beginning of my network marketing career my up line gave me these ancient techniques. I was told to list all my friends and family, contact every one of them to see if they were interested in creating an income from home. Lets just say I had one person who would still talk to me when I was done!
When I actually did find someone who would speak to me, they asked questions I was unable to answer. This made me more frustrated.
Faced with nobody left to approach, since everyone who knew me was now running the other way, my up line said the best thing to do was to purchase leads from them for $5.00 each. I sent emails that went undelivered. I made phone calls to more numbers that were no longer in service. If I got someone on the phone they were hostile and cold. I thought these were supposed to be leads. All this left me feeling more rejected and incompetent. I have to admit my self esteem was taking a nose dive.
Because I had spent so much of my time and money I truly felt as if I was depleted of both. I believe I was also losing my mind. I put in so much effort and ended up without anything.
Then just as I was going to give up, I thought there must be a better way. I then began my search to find the answer to the mystery of lead generation. I found the life preserver I was so desperately in need of because I was sinking fast, that was the only thing I could count on!
